The Rodent of DOOM

Our neighbors cat caught a squirrel yesterday. So, of course, instead of sensibly carting it off someplace, he left it on our front sidewalk. And this is where my story begins.
Mom, having walked around the squirrel to get to the car, called Dad on her cellphone. Dad was all of twenty feet away inside of the house. She asks him to take care of the dead squirrel. He comes out of the house brandishing a broom, and the house phone. Mom yells frantically into her cellphone, "Not my broom! Don't use my broom!"
Whereupon Dad, looking puzzled, goes back into the house and replaces it. He then takes a stick and flicks the squirrel's carcass into the street. Mission accomplished, they hang up.
While this may not sound hilariously funny, us three girls were doubled over with laughter by the end of it.

Aside from that, we visited the Multnomah County Fair today! Complete with ice cream cones, a family fair tradition. Mmmm.... nothing beats a swirl cone on a rainy day! Okay, maybe I can think of a few things to beat it... but anyways...
Several of our friends entered things in the fair, and the Lego League Team Zip, our former FLL team, had a booth there with their robots and table. I was dismayed to find Caleb there, and still as, err, annoying, as possible.
It didn't rain(hallelujah!)much(nevermind).
